I heard it!

Today, Scooter, Daisy, Bode, Kujo and I were laying on the love seat (yes, all of us on that small thing with the sectional couch all by itself!) watching a scary movie when I heard it! I jumped up ran outside, and there it was. THUNDER! Holy cow...it rumbles here! I hadn't heard it in soooo long it caught me off guard! Plus, with all of the houses going up around us and the new road being built a couple of blocks away, you hear all kinds of noises...at like 7:00 in the morning as you are trying to sleep! I talked to Kris and Schlitterbahn got a down pour. What did we get at our house??? Not even enough drops to wet the entire sidewalk! I at least know it was close to us, and we still have all of the clouds, so I am just keeping my fingers crossed!!

New Job Location!

It is very hot down here! We finally hit the 100's this week! Kris is of course still busy with his job. Since we haven't had any rain, work has been busy for him! It is hard to believe that he has almost hit the half-way point of his first season! I found out yesterday that I will get to work here in New Braunfels at a nursing home starting July 3rd! It is still a traveling position, but will get my foot in the door with businesses here! I am very excited, especially with gas prises as they are! This nursing home is an assistive living/long term care facility, which means I could have more independent people...finally!!! It is also located about 2 blocks from Kris's office! I hope this is a great change for me! The place I am currently at has hired a full time OTR, who is starting next week. My last day there is next Wednesday, and I am ready for a change! I think I will really like changing facilities every 13 weeks or so! Hope yall are all doing great!

Summer Life!

It has been a while since I have posted anything! It seems that our weeks go by quickly! We have been very busy. Kris has put in 40 hours at work in 3 days and is still counting since he works 6 days a week! He also is dropping weight left and right! He has lost over 20 pounds! I need a job outside now!!!

We had a great visit with Ben, Allison, Landry and Lillie this past week! I went to Schlitterbahn with them on one day, and Lillie did great on all of the big tube rides! She is a brave girl! Landry said his favorite thing was the hot tub! It was really nice seeing them. I can't believe how much bigger they are now!

It has been in the upper 90's here, and everything is drying up. We need rain like crazy. I was looking forward to all of the rain that this area is supposed to get! I am still waiting! The wind has blown a lot, but no dirt! Our dogs and cat are doing great and Scooter even did great with the kids! Come see us when you can!
