Playoffs, Game 6 vs. New Orleans

This is the AT&T Center where the Spurs play!

Timeout!

Cool shot of the Jumbo-tron!

Full court picture. This allows a good view of where our seats were!

Tim Duncan shooting free throws!!

Well, we finally got to go to a Playoff game!! This was awesome! Plus, the Spurs won this game and moved the series to 7 games. It was a great experience for Kris and me! Our seats were on the 22nd row and allowed us to see everything! This place got loud! I must say again...thanks Schlitterbahn!! My husband's job rocks!!

Busy Busy!!

Life in the Armes house has been very busy! Kris has been putting in a lot of hours at the park now that they are open every day! He is still enjoying in job and is dropping weight like crazy! I on the other hand am busy at work as well. We have finally had the privilege to open our house up to family on their vacation. Jeremy, Kristen, Jarek and Kasen came and spent a few days with us. Kristen and I got to enjoy a full day of shopping at the outlets! Then we all went to Schlitterbahn for a day. It was great seeing my nephews have so much fun! Now they think Kris is awesome because he works on a water park! Kristi and Melanie came down also for a few days! Melanie got to see three things she thought she would never see: the Alamo, the River Walk, and a very large Outlet! Kristi finally got a break from her work, but I don't think she got much rest because we were nonstop! It was really nice to see everyone again. I am looking forward to more visits in the near future! Come see us when you can!!

We still have it!

It is crazy to Kris and me that people we work with think we talk funny! They say it is obvious that we are from "West Texas." Kris gets it worse then I do! The people he works with laugh at a lot at the way he says words...and they say he talks slower than they do! He just wants to make sure they understood every word he says! The people I work with laugh at the way I say "oil," "iron," and even "talk." We both receive heck for using the word "Dude!" Neither Kris nor I think we talk different, but that's okay! People will always know where we came from!

No Complaints!

It is a bit breezy here today, as a cold front pushed through and we are now in the 80's!! I must say...I will not complain about the wind here because the skies are still blue, with some clouds! There is no dirt or dust in our eyes! We still need some rain, so I guess I need to wash my car!! It seems everywhere we go, there is no rain. We left Lubbock....and yall got rain! I can't wait for rainy season to start here! The people at my work think I am crazy, cause it gets very humid when it rains! They don't understand that we haven't seen rain in a while!

It is hot!

I know I am supposed to expect the heat, but I'm not used to going outside in shorts and a tank and sweating right away....and it is not that humid....yet!! It is going to be around 96 today. It is nice, so I am taking advantage of the heat to get some color on this ghostly body of mine!!! Kris is busy working today and he said at 1:00 there was already 3000 people at one of the three parks they have! The park opens up full swing I think next Friday...or at least next weekend! They have prepared Kris to expect at least 17,000 people a day once summer is here! I just hope that the gas prices don't harm us more than they already are! Well, I need to go back outside! I hope all is well with you!

Picture at the Spurs!

Here is Tim Duncan! We were on the sixth row off of the court! I have more pictures, but the camera on my cell phone is not that good. This was the best one! So far, we haven't received tickets to the Playoffs, but it's not too late! haha

Thank you Schlitterbahn!

Here are some photos of our trip to the Final Four!! We had a blast! We got passes to the Elite Experience, which was a program including interviews with college coaches and free food and drinks. It was really neat. There were soooo many people at the games...it was crazy! Our seats were with the Kansas fans, which was good since we were supporting the Big Twelve! We have also gone to a Spurs game and sat court side. Unfortunately we did not have our camera, so the only pictures I have are on our cell phones!! We'll see if I can get them on here! You wouldn't believe how tall and skinny the NBA players are!! That was a great experience and hopefully we will have more....come on Schlitterbahn, send us to the Playoffs!!!

Our Dogs!!

Family Photo!!

Bode Sun Bathing!

Daisy in the shade!

Scooter smelling the air!

Our dogs have finally adjusted....I think!?!? When we finally go our backyard completed, Bode ran 90 MPH for 10 minutes straight!! Scooter and Bode enjoy sun bathing. We occasionally have to go pick up Bode off of the grass just to get him inside! Daisy likes the breeze, but sometimes thinks it it too hot! She likes to lay on the tile or wood floor to cool off! They are slowly adjusting to all of the "city noise." They still have a hard time with new people. Daisy is still terrified when men come around....I guess it was men/boys who broke into our house! They are great guard dogs towards me though!

Crystal's Job

I am enjoying my job. I am working in a nursing home in San Antonio and will be there until the end of August. Then I will either go to a new nursing home, or they will extend my contract! I am loving my job and have adjusted to the traffic! Needless to say, people down here drive faster than what I am use to!

Kris's Job

Kris is loving his job. They opened on the last weekend of April. That Saturday was Schlitterbahn's busiest opening day! Kris is ready for the full season to start, but will only have 1 day off a week! Come the end of September, he will catch up on his rest! Needless to say, he is already turning pretty dark! He has had to adjust from managing college kids to managing teenagers and their parents! He is perfect for his job, and who wouldn't love working on a water park....the World's #1 Water Park!!!

Hello Everyone!!

I figured this is one of the best ways for everyone to keep up with Kris and me. Plus, since we know you miss us, you can always come here to see us! haha! I hope this blog site helps keep you updated on what is going on in our life and we can still communicate with you! I hope yall are all doing well!
